Mark and Lynn came to Remodel Me Today at the NARI Home Improvement show. In talking with Mark, RMT learned that they were looking to design & build their dream home on Lake Erie in Willowick, OH. They were considering renovating a smaller existing home in the same area. After meeting with client at both the vacant lot and the existing home and analyzing the cost to build scenarios for both it was determined that the new construction project would better fulfill their needs. RMT then began designing the layout of the project with Mark and Lynn. This home was completely custom-built for the client utilizing some of the most eco-friendly materials available and included a stone, castle like, walk out curved stairway to the basement. The finished home had hardwood floors throughout with the exception of the bathrooms where tile was utilized. The kitchen cabinets were fully custom with quartz counters. The finished home was a 3,200 square foot, four bedroom, four bathroom, office, kitchen, formal dining room and living rooms, first floor laundry and heated finished garage. The completed project was a perfect fit for the client’s traditional tastes. This Willowick design build project of a custom built home took nine months to complete from initial conceptualization meeting through permitting and building to completion. The photos below show the complete build process.
My wife and I were shopping for a new home a couple years back when I met Brian at the NARI Home Improvement Show. At the time we were considering a possible major renovation to a small house we were looking at; building both back and up (adding a second floor). He was one of a few builders we were taking to about a the project. I felt good about him right away and when I contacted his references they all gave glowing reviews of both his work and professionalism.
While we decided to go with him we decided not to go with the renovation project. We found a larger empty lot down the same street and decided to build a brand new house instead. Brian helped us every step of the way starting with selecting the floor plan.
He was very responsive with every request we had and the further we got into the project the better he learned our styles and he began proposing solutions and materials that we absolutely loved and would otherwise never have known about.
No request was too big or small (from altering the plan to add a new room and balcony in the back of the house to my wife and I agonizing over which knobs to select for the Jack and Jill bathroom) for Brian and he amazed us with his patience and knowledge.
Our house is now custom down to the smallest detail and he was an integral part in helping us build our dream home and realize our vision.
