Mark and Jeanette’s colonial home—built in the late 90s—needed an update to match their modern lifestyle. The original layout included a separate dining room and a closed-off kitchen, which felt cramped and outdated. To create a more open and functional space, the kitchen renovation involved demolishing the existing structure, including the removal of a non-structural wall separating the kitchen and dining rooms. This change required rerouting the second-floor HVAC lines and installing a flush-mount LVL beam for added structural support.

The centerpiece of this kitchen renovation was the stunning kitchen cabinetry. The design featured a two-tone approach: the oversized island was crafted in a warm maple finish—providing seating for eight—while the perimeter kitchen cabinetry showcased a classic white paint with a glazed finish to enhance its traditional appeal. Every detail of the kitchen cabinetry was carefully planned, using all-wood construction, dovetail joints, soft-close doors and drawers—ensuring durability and smooth functionality.

To complement the new kitchen cabinetry, Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring was installed
throughout the first floor—excluding the office—creating a seamless and unified look across the newly opened layout.

This kitchen renovation has transformed Mark and Jeanette’s colonial into a modern, inviting space. The combination of high-quality kitchen cabinetry and thoughtful design not only elevated the aesthetic appeal but also enhanced the functionality—making it ideal for everyday living and entertaining alike. Whether hosting family gatherings or enjoying a quiet coffee, this updated space offers both style and convenience.
