Sean and Chanda found their dream home on the picturesque shores of Lake Erie. While the location was perfect, the interior needed significant updates—especially in the kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, and bedrooms. This project went beyond a typical kitchen renovation—it was a full kitchen transformation that involved removing a load-bearing wall to create an open-concept kitchen and dining area. A flush-mount beam was installed to support the kitchen expansion—significantly enhancing the space and functionality of the room.
For the cabinets in the kitchen, Holiday Cabinetry was selected for its exceptional quality and value. These cabinets feature all-wood construction with no pressboard in sight. The cabinet drawers are dovetailed for durability and all hardware includes soft-close mechanisms for a premium touch. Sean and Chanda picked out classic white finish kitchen cabinets with white quartz countertops to give the space a fresh look. The expanded kitchen now offers a modern, open layout that maximizes both storage and workspace—perfectly blending style with function. Additionally, the finished kitchen features stainless steel appliances, white farm sink, and a glass tile backsplash.
In addition to the kitchen renovation, the homeowners wanted to relocate the laundry room to a more convenient location just outside the master bedroom. This allowed the original laundry space to be converted into a half bath—convenient for guests near the kitchen area. Flooring was updated throughout 85% of the home. This included the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, family room, and hallway—this creates a clean, cohesive, and refreshed look.
The finished renovation provided Sean and Chanda with the modern, functional, and flowing layout they envisioned, turning their Lake Erie home into a true dream retreat.
