One of the most impactful changes was the removal of the load-bearing wall dividing the original kitchen and rear addition. By installing a flush-mounted structural beam in the ceiling, we were able to open up the layout and transfer the load to the foundation walls. To enhance the home’s classic charm, white shaker-style custom cabinetry was installed throughout. These cabinets offer a timeless look that pairs beautifully with the home’s existing style while providing modern storage solutions. Durable Cambria quartz countertops were chosen not only for their visual appeal but also for their functional benefits—especially their cool surface, which is ideal for rolling out dough.

As part of the kitchen renovation, the homeowners opted for high-performance Samsung appliances, a stunning custom tile and metal backsplash, and a stylish vent hood. The backsplash serves as a focal point while tying together various textures in the room. Flanking the hood are two glass-ready cabinets equipped with accent lighting, offering both display and storage options.

Another standout element in this remodel was the ceiling transformation. What was once a flat ceiling was reengineered into a vaulted ceiling, dramatically opening up the space. A signature pendant light was added, enhancing both functionality and visual charm. Under-cabinet lighting was also installed to improve task visibility and ambiance.
