Mark and Jeanette’s colonial, originally built in the late ’90s, no longer fit the way they live today. The home’s traditional layout included a formal dining room and a closed-off kitchen—both of which felt dated and confining. To bring the home in line with a more modern lifestyle, the renovation began by opening up the floor plan. A non-structural wall between the kitchen and dining room was removed, second-floor HVAC lines were rerouted, and a flush-mount LVL beam was installed for added support.

At the heart of the transformation is the custom kitchen cabinetry. The design embraced a two-tone style: a generously sized island in warm maple provides seating for up to eight, while the perimeter cabinetry in classic white with a soft glazed finish lends timeless charm. Built with all-wood construction, dovetail joints, and soft-close hardware, the cabinetry was carefully crafted to combine beauty with everyday durability.

To further enhance the home’s first floor, Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring was laid throughout, with the exception of the office. This created a seamless, unified look that ties the new open-concept layout together.

The renovation has completely reimagined Mark and Jeanette’s home, transforming it into a warm, functional space perfect for both family living and entertaining.
