Kitchen Addition
At introductory meeting with this Greg & Vanessa B of Avon, Ohio for their kitchen renovation and addition we learned that they entertain large groups of friends regularly and they were interested in expanding the kitchen area to accommodate a seating area, which we call a morning room. The existing kitchen was 10×20. We removed the load bearing exterior wall at the rear of the home and moved it out 15’. In doing so we also made the kitchen slightly larger by 3’ along the 15’ wall. Removed flooring from the front foyer entry to the rear of the house. Matched the addition floor height to the existing home and then tiled from the addition to the foyer. Over 1000 feet of porcelain tile in this project plus a custom metal and glass backsplash around the granite counters. An island with seating for four, a dry bar with wine cubes, and a TV for the sport fanatics in the home are all items which made the space exactly what the client was looking for.
