Greg and Vanessa B. of Avon, Ohio, came to us with a clear vision: they wanted a kitchen renovation and remodel that would transform their home into an ideal space for entertaining. Known for hosting large gatherings of friends and family, they needed more room and better flow to accommodate guests comfortably. Their existing kitchen, measuring just 10×20, was no longer meeting their needs.

To begin the kitchen renovation, we removed the home’s rear load-bearing exterior wall and extended the footprint outward by 15 feet. In addition to this major expansion, we increased the kitchen’s width by 3 feet along the new exterior wall. This not only created a more functional layout but allowed space for a new morning room—an informal seating area perfect for conversation and relaxation.

As part of the overall kitchen remodel, we replaced all flooring from the front foyer to the back of the house. We matched the new addition’s floor height to the existing structure to create a seamless transition. The project included the installation of over 1,000 square feet of porcelain tile, chosen for its durability and timeless look. The consistent flooring throughout tied the new and existing spaces together, making the entire first floor feel cohesive and elevated.

The kitchen renovation also included standout design elements tailored to the homeowners’ lifestyle. A central island with seating for four now serves as a hub for casual meals and socializing. A custom dry bar with wine storage cubes was added to enhance the entertaining experience, offering both function and flair. To cater to the sports fans in the home, a wall-mounted television was installed—making the space game-day ready.

One of the most eye-catching features of this kitchen remodel is the custom backsplash. Made from a mix of metal and glass mosaic tile, it wraps around the granite countertops to provide a modern accent that elevates the overall design.
