Community Service of Remodel Me Today
Remodel Me Today has supported local art students at Olmsted Falls High School since 2016. Through an application process, RMT awards a scholarship yearly to an art student who creates a unique work in any subject to show off their creativity and technique. All artworks submitted each year are hung in RMT’s showroom. All work is for sale, and 100% of the proceeds are returned to each student. As of the writing of this text, RMT has given away 19 scholarships to deserving high school seniors.
In Through NARI Cares, RMT, and several other contractor companies and professionals worked together to provide time and skills to help rebuild a new porch for The Providence House in 2019. The Providence House is a local non-profit that provides temporary shelter to children whose parents are in various crises.
In 2021 Brian was asked to take on the role of Chairman of the NARI Cares committee, which is charged with organizing community give-back events for the organization. Most recently, developing a relationship with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. SHP believes a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional, and mental support a child needs. When it was brought to their attention that the need for beds went far beyond our neighborhoods, they stepped up and took initiative. We’re a national organization answering the call to a national problem. If a child needs a bed, they want to ensure they get one.
Most recently, Brian organized NARI members to assist a fellow contractor who suffered an on-the-job accident leaving him with several disabilities. NARI Cares was challenged with renovating a master bathroom to meet ADA compliance. The bathroom needs a complete renovation to make it work for the family’s needs.
