This Basement in Olmsted Township, Ohio Project was done for Tony P & Katie C. of Olmsted Township, Ohio. This basement remodel was done back in the fall of 2011. The home Katie and Tony purchased was the model home in a development and the basement had been finished for the sales force of the builder to utilize. It was broken up into many little office spaces. Remodel Me Today removed all interior walls and reconfigured to make a better use of the space for the entertaining purposes. Everything was perfect until Hurricane Sandy came. During the three days of no power their battery backup sump failed and they ended up with a flooded basement. RMT met with them the day of the flood and immediately began removal of damaged carpet and baseboards. RMT utilized blowers and dehumidifiers to dry the space and then set off multiple mold bombs and mold treatment to mitigate any spores which had began to circulate in the air. During this time Tony asked if RMT would remove another wall to open a storage area and encompass this area into the kids play area which they were happy to do. The result was an even more spacious basement and living area for their enjoyment.
