This Addition Independence, Ohio Project was done for a Clients had inherited a small bungalow. They loved the neighborhood as the wife had grown up playing in the area when visiting her grandmother as a child. The space was not conducive for this family of four. The clients wanted to expand the home to fit their family function and design. Blueprints were designed and drawn up with our architect to accommodate the clients’ request of at least three bedrooms and two bathrooms, eventually exceeding expectations in the home.
With construction elevation, this home went from two bedrooms and one bath to three bedrooms, three bathrooms and an office making this suitable for the family of four. During demo it was discovered that the structural integrity of the floor was inadequate for the new design and had to be reworked. Special attention was shown in the kitchen and master bath for the clients. The kitchen features an open floor plan with stainless steel appliances, granite counters, white shaker cabinets, white tiled backsplash, and bar area. The master bath includes a tiled chic gray shower with staggered glass details, as well as white cabinets and counters to match couple mirrors. With a freestanding tub and luxury vinyl plank flooring, the room is complete with a clean fresh design.
In the end the clients house had undertaken a complete transformation taking it from an old, outdated, and undersized house to a spacious, modern, open concept home with amenities for tomorrow and room for this growing young family.
