Brian Pauley – Owner & Founder

Entrepreneur and independent contractor Brian Pauley has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry and has been in business as a sole proprietor since 1998. Before founding RMT, Pauley owned a commercial photography and marketing firm in the Cleveland area specializing in customer relations with top level executives for over 10 years. His unique background of strong customer communications, professionalism and team leadership skills combined with a high quality standard for residential remodeling, has enabled him to provide a superior remodeling experience for many homeowners in the Cleveland and surrounding areas.

Pauley is an active member of NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry) and currently serves on the Executive Board, Cleveland Chapter, promoting the remodeling industry locally by assisting with the NARI Cares Community Service Committee and the Show Committee.

Brian Pauley’s pathway into remodeling and home building is a self-described “rather unusual one.”

After graduating with a degree in photography, he had an illustrious career in commercial photography as a contractor with ad agencies’ to serve their major clients such as Moen and Libby Glassware and other large corporations across the U.S.

When he opened his commercial photography studio in Cleveland, Brian recognized it was more cost effective for him to build full-working kitchen and bathroom sets, complete with running water & electrical features which made it possible to photograph his clients’ products in-studio rather than travel. So, when the advertising industry shifted toward the even more cost-effective use of stock photos, he shifted his talents toward building and renovations. After a few short years, demand for his work evolved into a full-time profession.

For 14 years, he operated his remodeling, design and building business from his home in Olmsted Falls. As a way to offer his clients even more services, he opened the Remodel Me Today showroom in downtown Olmsted Falls in 2012. The showroom features five different lines of cabinets ranging from very high-end to affordable. And, they offer a wide-array of flooring, tile and counter surface options as well. If a client wants something that isn’t featured in the showroom, Brian can deliver.

Since kitchen and bath remodels often involve additions and removal of interior walls, Brian offers a thorough consultation with clients to learn about the way the homeowner needs the room to function, even learning whether the homeowner is a cook, baker, or entertainer.

Though the Remodel Me Today showroom focuses mainly on finishes and cabinetry for kitchen and bath projects, a portion of the work Brian does is geared toward basement renovations and a growing need for design build services including custom-home building. Clients building their own homes can meet with Brian at the showroom to discuss the project and receive a complete design and build package that is vetted by a structural engineer. Because there are “often surprises in any kind of construction,” Brian is a General Contractor experienced at managing construction challenges. But, he is also happy to work with homeowners who already have a Contractor yet need kitchen design services and quality products.

“We can create CAD drawings and help homeowners choose their materials to make their project exactly what they desire.”

He is also on the leading edge of construction and basement insulation, including using a new basement and foundation building technique that incorporates insulation inserts on both the inner and outer walls of the basement.

As the demand for his work grows, the Remodel Me Today showroom is also evolving to feature more choices that integrate new construction materials. Chris Pauley, Brian’s wife, is the showroom manager. Plans for the future of the showroom are to open sales and services to include direct-to-contractor products so other local builders can easily find the materials they need.

Remodel Me Today is a member of the National Association of Remodeling Industry (NARI) and, consecutively since 2015, has been named Contractor of the Year by this prestigious organization. Remodel Me Today was also the main feature builder for the 2017 thru 2021 NARI Home Improvement Shows. Brian’s design, building, and construction talents have been displayed in master suites, master bathrooms, and specialty kitchens. In 2018 Brian was elected to the NARI Board of Directors, and in 2020 sat as the VP of the board and is currently the incoming president which will take place at NARI’s Evening of Excellence in 2024. While they’re grateful for the opportunity and recognition, Brian and Chris genuinely stand by their motto to make each project a story about “our people, our products, and our customers. We genuinely have a story that’s better together.”
